Frequently asked questions
Probably couldn't hurt! Counseling is for anyone and everyone. We all go through challenging situations, and while you may have navigated difficulties before, there's nothing wrong with seeking extra support when you need it. In fact, recognizing when you need a helping hand is a strength, and counseling is here for people ready to take that step.
Counseling is different for everyone. In general, you can expect to discuss the current events happening in your life, your history, and even progress from previous therapy sessions. Depending on your specific needs, counseling can be short-term or long-term, based on your desire and need for more personal development and growth.
You get what you put into counseling. It is important to remember that you will get more results from the therapy process if you actively and intentionally participate. Counseling is essentially rehearsal. How the show plays out is ultimately up to you. Our goal is to help you apply what you’ve learned from your sessions to your everyday life.
Your first few sessions are all about getting to know you. We'll conduct an initial assessment to understand what brings you to therapy, explore your goals, and collaborate on a treatment plan that fits your needs.
Think of these early sessions as the foundation—we need to understand what you're experiencing to provide the best support. Expect some questions, open conversation, and plenty of space for your input. Counseling works best as a collaboration, and your perspective is essential to the process.
Legally, we can’t blab about your business, nor do we want to. The relationship between counselor and client is grounded in trust, so we take confidentiality seriously. You can expect that what you discuss in sessions will not be shared with anyone outside of legal and ethical bounds.
We understand that life happens and schedules change! Please provide at least 24 hours' notice if you need to cancel or reschedule—we're happy to work with you when plans shift.
A $99 fee may apply (1) when sessions are cancelled or rescheduled with less than 24 hours' notice, (2) when sessions are missed, or (3) when the full scheduled time cannot be completed.
We value your time and our clinicians. Scheduled sessions represent a mutual commitment and an opportunity to serve you fully. Advance notice helps us stay available for all clients who need support.

While we do accept several insurance plans, it is ultimately up to clients to ensure that they are insured — see what we did there? You may want to verify your coverage for psychotherapy services with your insurance company.
No problem! We welcome self-pay clients at our standard rate. If you're looking for lower-cost options, we're happy to share resources for affordable therapy services in the community.
We ask that payment be made at the time of service. We accept credit/debit cards, HSA/FSA cards, and Zelle. Co-pays, session fees, and any applicable fees must be settled before scheduling your next appointment. This keeps balances low and prevents financial stress from becoming a barrier to your care.
Reach out to discuss your supervision needs, goals, availability, and cost. We'll help match you with an appropriate supervisor and answer any questions about the process, scheduling, and requirements.

We bring PhD-level expertise to every consultation engagement. We start with an initial conversation to understand your needs and goals, then develop a tailored plan that may include assessments, program development support, compliance guidance, and implementation strategies—whatever your organization needs to thrive.
Every organization's needs are different, so we tailor our services and pricing accordingly. During our initial conversation, we'll discuss your goals and challenges, then provide a proposal that reflects the scope of our partnership and the outcomes you're working toward.
